Leadership Conference, Survey, & Recruitment Ideas

Hello all! On behalf of the Florida Conference Youth/Young Adult Ministries Department and Adventist Christian Fellowship (ACF), we would like to announce some exciting events and changes happening this summer and fall. For starters, your student representatives for the Florida Conferences are Nikki Grant and Damita Miller. The purpose of these new positions is to improve communication between the Campus Advent/ACF chapters and to help new and current chapters. We are here to help your chapter get ready for the 2008-2009 school year in any way we can.

In the Fall semester, Florida Conference is having a leadership conference in Maitland, Florida on October 24-25 at the Hilton Homewood Suites. The purpose of the leadership conference is to brainstorm new ideas, try to strengthen weakness in collegiate ministries, and build on current strengths. All campus officers are invited and the costs for room, supper, and breakfast will be covered. Please confirm whether your chapter will attend by no later than August 31, 2008 by contacting us at floridaacf@gmail.com or bill.crofton@florida.conference.com. In your email, please let us know which officers will be in attendance.

In order to further improve communication and serve your need, we would like you complete a few surveys and send these survey links to your members for them complete these surveys as well. Some possible ideas for recruitment of new members are.

Mass email about ACF/CA to all Florida churches
• Possible article in Insight, Dialogue, and Adventist Today, Message, and Southern Tidings magazines
Ad on Facebook.com for one month in the summer
Invite non-Adventists to meetings (Bible studies, games, etc)
Take a small number of representative to new chapter for recruitment missions

Any recruitment ideas or suggestions that your chapter may have would be appreciated. If you received this email but you are not a current member of ACF/CA or any Adventist campus ministry, tell us so that we can update our information and forward this email to the current campus officers (if possible). If you are a pastor who has received this email, please inform your Adventist collegiate officers (if known) about the updates and send us a current email that we can send new information to them.
